Papers of Joseph Au, Jr., a resident of Portage, Mich. in the mid 1850s. He served in an Illinois regiment during the Civil War and later moved to Georgia. Included is an 1875 exercise book belonging to Leo Au; an 1899 exercise book belonging to Nettie Brown; State of Georgia teacher's certificate for Carolene Brown Au, 1928; compiled genealogies and family histories of the Au and Brown families.
